She was born and raised on Nar Shaddaa as the only child of a local crime lord and his beloved wife. Her childhood can easily be described as a happy one for her parents were quite wealthy and especially her mother was very caring. But when she reached her mid teens, her life got turned upside down...
Her father had made some reckless business decisions while relying on the wrong people, causing him to get into serious trouble with the Hutts. The quarrel ended with him and his wife getting killed right in front of their young daughter's eyes. The girl survived, but was forced into slavery as some form of compensation for the wrongdoings of her father.
Her new owner, a former business partner of her father who had turned against him, didn't treat her well at all, just as he did with all of his slaves. One day this mistreatment escalated as he not only beat her but also tried to force himself onto her. In a mixture of panic and rage, fueled by all the negative emotions she had bottled up for so long, she instinctively used the Force to defend herself, whirling it against him and killing him.
She managed to escape the property before his body was even found and with nowhere to go, she decided to sneak into the next best spaceship to leave the system for good as a stowaway. Her flight was successful, yet she was now a known runaway slave and is still wanted for murder in the Hutt Space. The Hutts even placed a bounty on her head.
Shortly after leaving her homeworld, she finally crossed paths with Darth Vader who upon noticing her potential decided to train her as his secret apprentice.
